Today’s tip for taking candid shots: Use zoom lens! Distance is a major factor when shooting candid photos. Obviously, the further you are away from your subject, the less likely they will be to know that you’re photographing them! This gives you more natural and relaxed expressions. You may want to use a telephoto lens or long zoom lens. I always use 50-200mm, or sometimes even 70-300mm, when shooting candid. This enables me to shoot from a good distance and space.
